深圳佛教新闻网讯：据《scandasia》报道，近日，泰国已逝公主瓦哈娜的藏经捐赠项目将把一套40卷的世界版《大藏经》将运送到挪威佛教联合会，此部藏经于2008年瓦哈娜公主的葬礼上作为泰国智慧和和平的皇家礼物被赠送给了挪威佛教联合会。

据悉，该经书将于2009年8月17日在挪威奥斯陆的泰国皇家大使馆的一场仪式中，由1997年成立的南传佛教慈善机构正法会（Dhamma Society ）代表正式交给挪威佛教联合会。

挪威佛教联合会主席Egil Lothe表示，该藏经对于挪威修习佛教的人有着重要的实际及象征意义。“这个礼物是对我们这个组织努力工作的鼓励和肯定。”

The scriptures, which have been produced especially for The Buddhist Federation of Norway, will physically be handed over at a ceremony on the 17th of August in the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo by representatives from the Dhamma Society - a charitable organisation in the Buddhist Theravāda Tradition, founded in 1997.

According to the president of The Buddhist Federation of Norway, Egil Lothe, the scriptures have a practical and symbolic significance to those who practice Buddhism in Norway.
