年8月24日，在越南中元节即将到来之际，来自越南河内My Duc区的近500名佛教四众弟子在越南中部Quang Tri省的Truong Son公墓为牺牲的烈士们举行了安息法会。

在法会上，越南佛教僧伽会文化部副理事Thich Minh Hien法师对烈士们为了国家独立和自由而英勇牺牲表示了感激和敬意。大众也向烈士们表达了越南人民对他们最诚挚的谢意。

中元节，又称盂兰盆节或鬼节，于每年阴历七月十五被庆祝，越南人借此节日来表示他们对其祖先以及父母的感激之情。

ct held a requiem for martyrs at the Truong Son Cemetery in the central province of Quang Tri on August 24.

At the event, Most Venerable Thich Minh Hien, deputy head of the cultural department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, acknowledged the martyrs’ heroic sacrifice for the sake of national independence and freedom. The Most Venerable said that the mass is to show Vietnamese people’s heartfelt gratitude towards soldiers who laid down their lives during the past wars of resistance.
